EXOS Embarks On New Fitness Certification Courses And Wearable Education Series

As an athlete, your performance is everything. How fast you run, vigorously you train and even the things you eat are essential in maximizing your potential. Sometimes you need someone to tell you to lift harder, not to eat that Big Mac from McDonalds and to get you from sleeping in.

EXOS, a leader in proactive health and human performance is built on this idea. Since 1999, EXOS has been working in collaboration with athletes, the military and other companies worldwide. Its most recent program is more of the same.

On June 7, EXOS announced a new certification program for coaches, trainers and physical therapists in order to become EXOS-Certified Fitness Specialists. Along with the certification program, the company announced the first in a series of EXOS Presents courses.

The EXOS certification is a 10.5-hour online certification course that focuses on providing fitness professionals the necessary tools to develop its clients. The course will give insights, strategies, specific EXOS training systems and a step-by-step walk-through to master the coach-to-client relationship.

The certification courses will probably provide a future EXOS fitness specialist with more intense workouts than the high energy, Richard Simmons’ Sweatin’ to the Oldies aerobic video ever did (he did nail that recent GEICO commercial though).

EXOS’ second announcement will further the development of its athletes as well.

The EXOS Presents first course will focus on using data to help facilitate recovery. Through another online course, Presents will provide a “data conceptualization model to organize data, providing clarity and context as well as exploring the possibilities of integrating data in order to produce positive outcomes.”

Founder and President of EXOS, Mark Verstegen, knows the relationship with the company and its consumers, coaches and athletes has room to grow. “At EXOS, we feel a responsibility to share our learnings with others,” said Verstegen. “With the expansion of our online education platform, we aim to share our proven approach with others in our field, providing them with tools to upgrade their lives and the lives of their clients.”

EXOS’ focus on improving an athlete’s motivation, physical development and certified coaching knowledge is growing. Its partnership with Intel in March gives EXOS the ability to spread its fitness understanding and context through wearable data.

Those of us who wear a fitness band tracker use it to gather steps, calories, heart rate, the list goes on. What if your fitness device could actually tell you how to get the most out of the recorded data and take immediate actions to change the way you workout based on your health and fitness goals? Intel and EXOS wanted to make wearable fitness devices more personalized, and with this partnership, it is hopefully on its way.

Athletes compete to crush the person sprinting, jumping or swimming against them. There is no substitute for hard work, but EXOS is making it easier for an athlete to achieve their goals by releasing viable options.
