1. What is your elevator pitch?
Evolve Basketball App is the first product and long line of sports app that are to come under Evolve Sports. Evolve Basketball app is the first ever social media basketball training platform for kids at an affordable rate all on their mobile device. With the ability to attract a large sports user base and peer to peer interaction this app is the perfect platform to raise brand awareness for sports advertisers and advanced training methods from professional athletes to become successful on and off the court.
2. Problem & Solution
The problem is basketball training now has become a premium. Training session are between $50-$100 per session and that’s just including on court training. Meal prep programs and athletic performance programs are another beast in itself. All of these new widgets and gadgets are also the same. None of them improve your game. The problem with all of these analytic tools what are they doing to help you get better? They are telling you the problem not fixing the problem. Many inner city kids or kids who do not have access to the gym shouldn’t be left out. Our platform eliminates those problems.
Our affordable cost of $3.99 a month or $24.99 a year gives users a chance to improve there game on and off the court. We understand that basketball is more than just drills if you want to make it. That’s why we offer SAT/ACT prep info a Guide to Athletic Scholarship, a nutritional plan, basketball training videos a ecommerce shop and athletic weight training videos with many explosive workouts. All of our content is recurring and are only performed by professional athletes or former college basketball players. Basketball literacy and IQ techniques are also taught on our Newsfeed. There are too many people who are teaching these techniques with no basketball background or experience and that’s something we wanted to eliminate.
3. Market – your target market and the overall market
Our target market ranges from kids starting at 7 years old all the way to professional basketball players. We have content suitable for all ages and skill levels. The great thing about our app and platform is basketball is played in pretty much every country. We are currently in 155 territories across the world. According to Fiba there is an estimated 450 million people who play basketball across the world ranging from licensed players to amateurs.
4. Business Model – how do you make money?
Our platform makes money several ways. Our main way of revenue right now is through our subscription model at $3.99 a month or $24.99 a year. Our next stream of revenue is through our e-commerce store. We sell different evolve products and gear. Our next revenue stream is from marketing and advertising on the app. We have over 75k active users and we are working to add sponsored videos and paid advertisement from targeted sports brands. Our forth revenue model is from our training sessions and training portal that will launch spring of 2017. We will integrate the ability for other trainers to user our platform and manage their own subscribers.
