Eleven Sports is bringing one of golf’s marquee tournaments to U.K. viewers for free. In a celebration of the sports network’s expansion into the U.K., the company will bring viewers all four rounds of the PGA Championship free, and will stream the first two rounds on Facebook.
Users who want to watch the PGA Championship—which takes place Aug. 9-12 in St. Louis—can join a one-week free trial of Eleven via its digital OTT service and mobile apps. The offer is part of Eleven’s first-run sign-up drive in the U.K.
During the first two days of the PGA Championship, Eleven will broadcast two tee groups from 4 p.m to 7 p.m. BST, with uninterrupted coverage after 7 p.m. The final two rounds will be broadcast live from 5 pm until the end each day on elevensports.uk and the mobile apps. On-demand highlights will also be available on those platforms.

Eleven Sports is trying to break into the U.K. market by using a mass-scale golf event. By giving viewers free access to the PGA Championship, Eleven Sports will hope to reel in an audience to its OTT service. British fans in particular should be invested after Englishman Justin Rose tied for second place in the British Open just last week.
Earlier this year, Eleven Sports also launched a 24/7 channel on Twitch to stream coverage of traditional sports like basketball and baseball.
