Double Play, a two-player virtual reality baseball game, will soon be available for sports fans and VR fans alike. The game gives both participants a device that allows them to connect with the screen. While one player pitches, the other one is at bat.

The hitter wears a headset and takes a swing while the other participant pitches. Hitters are able to hit line drives, home runs and more. Through the headset, the hitter is able to see fielders move around and sometimes snatch the ball to keep it from going out of the “park” and other times watch them drop it so that you can score.

The pitcher will watch the hitter on a monitor and throw towards the monitor as if it is home plate. The user will use one of the touch controllers to decide where the ball goes and if it will be a fastball, curveball, sinker or something else.

Standard baseball rules apply. Because it is virtual reality, players of all ages and skillsets can play together on a more even playing field than an actual field.
