DorsaVi, an Australian movement sensor technology company, has added two high-profile clients to their already growing list. The New Orleans Saints and the Cleveland Browns have been testing out their sensor technology, and have opted to use it for the duration of this upcoming regular season.

The reigning NBA champions, the Golden State Warriors, and the MLS’ star-studded Toronto FC are on the list of teams that have previously signed deals with DorsaVi.

DorsaVi operates with a series of two different types of sensors—one that uses a variety of different instruments to measure the movement of different places on the human body, and the other measures the activity of muscles near the surface of the skin, with the help of adhesive electrodes.

DorsaVi provides solutions using these sensors to three distinct areas of the health marketplace—the workplace, the health clinic and the sports world.

Their sports solutions program is aptly titled ViPerform. Instead of providing information like that of fitness wearables, ViPerform helps trainers to improve their injury assessments, prevent injuries and document therapy progress. It is essentially the ultimate medical wearable.

ViPerform has six assessment modules, which can be linked with HD video to provide even better data. The system tests an athletes run, knee, hamstring, ability in functional exercises, lower back and neck.

With a quick test, sports programs, like these two NFL teams, can get accurate data that will aim to help their players return to the field as fast as possible.
