The Miami Dolphins have released a new mobile app for fans that increases the amount of content available to them on a yearly basis. It features extensive analysis of the team through articles, video, and recorded audio directly from Dolphins.com and a Video Vault, where fans are able to watch archival footage.
The app is designed for fan participation allowing them to share photos and articles with others through, email, text, and social media. Tabs are included for easy navigation where fans can view news, team information, schedules, standings, and even information about the team’s cheerleaders.
With a membership account Dolphins fans will be able to manage their tickets, reserve their place in any upcoming calendar event, and view their dining discounts all under the Members tab. The Feedback feature of the app will allow the Dolphins to receive information from fans as a way to further enhance the experience.
Beacon technology was integrated into the app, making the Dolphins the first NFL team to fully combine technology that makes it possible for fans to receive location based notifications within Sun Life Stadium. The technology allows app users to follow directions directly to their seats, know which concession stand has a shorter line, and know where to locate the nearest food and beverage option.
The app was designed in a joint effort with eMbience, a mobile application development company based in San Diego, California and is available or free on iTunes and Google Play.
