  • The USGA Launches New U.S. Women’s Open Mobile App: The United States Golf Association and Cisco have created a mobile app for the U.S. Women’s Open. The app is the first stand-alone mobile platform designed for a women’s golf major. Real-time scores, live streaming video, stats, news, and player highlights will all feature within the app, which is available on iOS and Android devices. Fans attending the event at the Country Club of Charleston can also use its player tracking feature to locate players on the course, and alert them about autograph signings and promotions.
  • All Elite Wrestling to Broadcast Across WarnerMedia Platforms: All Elite Wrestling has formed a multi-platform media rights partnership with WarnerMedia. The new wrestling league will air weekly on TNT in prime time. Matches will also stream through B/R Live and on pay-per-view. Additionally, an hour-long live pre-show special called THE BUY-IN will stream on WarnerMedia and AEW’s social channels. AEW’s inaugural event will stream exclusively on B/R Live on May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
  • Digital Asset Platform Libris Adds Tampa Bay Rays and LPGA: The digital asset management platform Libris announced that the Tampa Bay Rays, Premier Lacrosse League, LPGA, and University of Wisconsin Athletics have all signed up as clients. Libris is used to upload, organize and share files of all types—including photos, videos, PDFs, audio files, documents, and spreadsheets. Organizations such as the New York Jets and Samford University have used Libris to boost their social media production.
  • The NHL Announces Sponsors for Gaming World Championship: The National Hockey League announced its lineup of sponsors for the 2019 NHL Gaming World Championship. Honda and Scotiabank will return to this year’s esports tournament after sponsoring 2018’s inaugural event. Adidas, ASTRO Gaming, Brisk, Great Clips, and MGM Resorts were added for this year. On-site brand activations are planned throughout the tournament, which begins May 18 in Stockholm. The World Championship Final will take place Jun. 18 in Las Vegas.
