Club Atlético River Plate will implement SAP Business One as a management system to carry out all of its business processes. In this way, one of the most successful teams in the country continues leading the modernization of the local football industry.

Buenos Aires City, ArgentinaClub Atlético River Plate, located in Buenos Aires City, Argentina, will become the first sport club in the entire country to incorporate a world-class management system for the administration of its purchases, finances, contracts, etc. River Plate, which holds the most football first division titles in Argentina and is a leader in innovation in the sports industry in all of Latin America, will be using the SAP Business One management system. This will help to optimize the organization’s processes and resources.

River Plate joins the growing trend in the professionalization of football at all levels. In Latin America other football clubs such as Palmeiras (Brazil) and Club América (Mexico), have chosen SAP processes in order to become more competitive and sustainable.

“We know how important it is for an institution like River Plate, and for its entire community to run a project of this magnitude. This is a key plan for the Club and a great opportunity to modernize our processes. The kick-off of this project is a milestone that goes beyond the current administration, and is undoubtedly a great legacy to achieve better management for the club we love,” said Gustavo Silikovich, General Manager of River Plate. “Now we can focus on driving an outstanding social and cultural sports institution,” he added.

“With the adoption of SAP Business One, River Plate´s management team will have real-time information and will spend less time on reporting, which will be used to identify opportunities to add value for its partners and fans,” says Guillermo Brinkmann, President of SAP Southern region of Latin America.
