As exciting as it is for fans to watch professional athletes compete in person, a crucial aspect of attending games is interacting with fellow fans in the community. The Cleveland Cavaliers have taken that concept to heart and have partnered with TigerLogic Corporation in an attempt to further increase the fan engagement at Quicken Loans arena.

TigerLogic plans to increase social interaction during games. They are a leading provider of solutions that help companies improve social media engagement by unlocking the power of data. With this partnership with the Cavs, they will use their patented Postano Platform, a social media aggregation and display platform that allows brands to show off the very best in fan generated content.

Not only does the Postano Platform display prominent fixed social installations, it also shows advanced statistics and closed captioning throughout a Cavaliers game. The best fan-generated content is displayed with stunning visualization across web, mobile, and the four Postano screens live throughout Quicken Loans Arena.

“Working with Postano provides us with the technology to curate and visualize the best social content, sparking conversations among our loyal and dedicated fans and ultimately creating truly memorable brand experiences for them,” said Mike Conley, Vice President of Marketing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, in a press release.

“The social installations have allowed us to successfully expand the reach of our social activities and engagement.”

The Cavaliers have seen strong social media engagement from the fans since the initiation of the project. The first 10 games of this season had an average of 20,000 posts per game. These numbers seem to indicate that the Cavs’ partnership with TigerLogic and LeBron James returning to Cleveland have created a perfect storm of fan engagement.
