Monday afternoon’s intracity interleague rivalry meeting between the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs will be broadcast on Facebook Live, as part of a Cubs partnership with with ABC 7 Chicago and Facebook Live.
For fans in the team’s home television territory, the game is available on the Chicago Cubs and ABC 7 Chicago Facebook pages as is Wednesday’s game between the same two teams.
The partnership is part of a pilot program presenting four games on Facebook Live this season, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Major League Baseball had previously announced in May that 20 Friday night games would be streamed nationally on Facebook Live.
“Probably the most important single announcement [from the owners’ meetings] is we’ve done an agreement with Facebook,” MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred said at the time. “It’s really important for us in terms of experimenting with a new partner in this area. We are really excited about this.”
Any matchup between the North Side Cubs and South Side White Sox draws additional attention, but these clubs made a rare trade earlier this month, with the White Sox sending top starter Jose Quintana to the Cubs for a blockbuster package of prospects. This game also marks the return of Cubs right-handed pitcher Kyle Hendricks — last year’s major league leader in ERA — after a lengthy absence with a hand injury.
