Buffalo Sabres Fans Can Now Use WaitTime At KeyBank Center

When the puck drops on the Buffalo Sabres’ season Thursday, fans at KeyBank Center will have more time to watch players such as Jack Eichel and Evander Kane — because they’ll spend less time waiting on line to use the restroom or grab a bite to eat.

As part of an overhaul of the MyOneBuffalo app, a centralized app for much of Buffalo’s professional sports and entertainment, Sabres fans can now take advantage of WaitTime technology installed in KeyBank Center. WaitTime uses cameras and displays around the venue’s concourses to capture and alert fans to the length of lines at bathrooms and concession stands, and KeyBank Center is the first NHL venue for the company.

Within the app, fans can also meetup with Facebook friends, pay for Bills and Sabres merchandise at the respective team stores, and pin their car to find it easily after the game. NITTEC provides traffic data, and for Canadian fans, border-crossing wait times.

According to an announcement by the Sabres, fans at the KeyBank Center only can also use the app to order concessions from within the MyOneBuffalo app and pick them up from four locations throughout the arena. The announcement boasts that fans can pick up their food and be back in their seats “faster than a Jack Eichel breakaway.”

Meanwhile, Bills fans at New Era Field can tap into WaitTime to figure out which of seven entry gates to go through. And when the game is over? Fans at both venues can use the app to order an Uber to pick them up at designated locations.

Other features within the app include a loyalty program, ticket upgrades, and a Sabres Flex Pass. The latter allows Sabres fans to purchase an $89/month pass that gives them access to every home game in a month except for blackout dates. Upcoming features will give Bills and Sabres fans spread throughout the U.S. and Canada a list of bars and restaurants where they can watch the game, as well as local TV listings for the teams.

The app is available on the App Store and Google Play Store.
