Blast Motion, a company that provides sensor-based motion capture technology, has partnered with EXOS to provide high school baseball athletes at the EXOS Baseball Academy with a more data-driven, analytical approach to training.
At the event, Blast Motion and EXOS will introduce real-time training insights and swing analytics Sept. 23–24 at Fieldhouse USA in Frisco, Texas and McKinney Boyd High School.
Several solutions are available to players attending the academy, as Baseball Nation instructors will utilize Blast solutions such as the Blast Baseball sensor and Blast Connect services to help players visualize and improve their swings.
“We’re excited to combine Blast Motion metrics as another feature to our in-house training services, allowing Baseball Nation instructors and attending athletes with an objective, metrics-powered analysis of their swing,” Chris Dubek, Vice President of Amateur Sports, EXOS said in a statement. “Through this partnership we’re helping advance the nation’s most highly touted prospects and the best undiscovered talent in the country.”

Blast Motion also features a Blast Baseball mobile app and free online training center that provides users with metric definitions, hitting drills, and tips from pros.
The official bat sensor technology of MLB, Blast Motion has spread into youth sports. Earlier this month, Blast Motion announced it was teaming up with Chevy Youth Baseball to power swing analysis at youth instructional baseball clinics funded by Chevrolet dealerships.
