Avaya Giving San Jose Earthquakes Digital Boost For In-Stadium Fan Experience


San Jose Earthquake fans can now expect even more benefits for the second season at Avaya Stadium with the release of the Avaya Stadium Mobile App. The app is an extension from previous stadium amenities that has enhanced the game day experience for Earthquake fans.

“Fans in Silicon Valley expect more from their sports venues, and last season we scored big with our fans on innovation and engagement at the highest level,” explained Dave Kaval, President of the San Jose Earthquakes, in a press release. “We’re looking forward to partnering with Avaya to deliver even more value this season and give fans a connected, social and immersive experience unlike any other.”

Avaya provides solutions for customer and team engagement through multiple channels and devices. The organization is focused on creating better customer experience, increase productivity and enhance financial performance. The company focuses on offering solutions in three different categories that will improve engagement: Team Engagement Solutions, Customer Engagement Solutions and Fabric Networking.

The Avaya Stadium Mobile app, available for free on both the iTunes Store and Google Play, gives fans everything they could want related to the Quakes. It provides a digital experience from before the game, all the way through the final seconds of the game.

The app contains multiple game day experiences, including a fan engagement wall. The wall is a digital installation that displays fans’ social updates and other content in real time.  There are live polls and special offers, as well as information about parking, concessions and merchandise. The app also includes Quakes Digital Player Cards, fan trivia and fun facts, which allows fans to chat and post directly during a game. There are customized social media streams and information about tickets.

A Wi-Fi service will be powered by Avaya to make sure fans do not run into Internet malfunctions, no matter the size of the crowd. Cloud-based technologies will also be implemented with “Fanalytics,” a data analytics about fans’ interests and activities.

Coaches, players and business contacts also benefit with the Avaya Scopia videoconferencing technology which gives users a more immersive connection.
