Wasps director of rugby Dai Young praised his side's perseverance as they booked their place in the Premiership final on Saturday.
The Ricoh Arena side won 21-20 against Leicester as a late Josh Bassett crossing saw them edge the victory and set up a date with Exeter.
After the game Young was understandably relieved to book their spot at Twickenham and applauded how his team kept fighting until the end.
"It was a game that could've gone either way, it went right down to the wire," he told Wasps' official website after their dramatic late victory.
"I thought the Tigers were fantastic in the last 25 minutes, their defence was awesome, but I was really pleased that we didn't panic.
"There was a lot of composure and patience which we haven't shown in the past. I thought we created the most opportunities, especially in that last 25 to 30 minutes. It looked like it was going to get away from us but I was so pleased with the boys because we kept hammering away and found a way to get over the line right at the end."
He added: "It's very small margins in these games, we know. A lot of last ditch passes didn't go to hand but at the end of the day it's a win and our first final for a number of years so we're going to go there and enjoy it."
Wasps though will now be sweating on the fitness of full-back Kurtley Beale, who came off during the game with a hamstring problem.
"Fingers crossed it's not something too bad," added boss Young. "Obviously it's a tight turnaround but fingers crossed it's not too bad."
