Wasps claimed a 41-10 bonus-point victory over Harlequins in European Champions Cup action at Ricoh Arena on Sunday.
Tries from Dan Robson, Ashley Johnson, Josh Bassett and a Christian Wade brace proved too much for Harlequins who scored through Francis Saili.
Wasps were stunned 24-21 by Harlequins in the previous meeting between the sides in the Premiership in September but made sure there would be no such repeat of that result this time around.
Wasps' first try came from a five-metre attacking lineout on the left touchline. Number eight Nathan Hughes took the ball out to the blindside and fed Robson on his inside who cantered over. Danny Care was at fault for not tracking Hughes' run as the home side took an early 7-0 lead with just five minutes gone on the clock.
Wasps doubled their lead when Marcus Smith's kick was charged down and kicked through by Elliot Daly before Wade booted it further ahead to dot down. Gopperth's extras extended the lead to 14-0.
Harlequins' troubles were compounded when Mike Brown was yellow-carded for a deliberate knockdown and from the resulting penalty Johnson went over at the back of the driving maul for Wasps. Gopperth converted to make it 21-3 to Wasps with seven minutes to half-time and that's how it remained until the interval with Hughes coming close on the stroke of half-time.
Marler, like last time against Wasps, got himself embroiled in off-the-ball scuffles and was yellow-carded for a forearm to the head of Bassett on the 48 minute mark, losing his cool with the Wasps player holding his leg.
Saili hit back with a try for Harlequins with his first touch off the bench as he ran the perfect line to run on to Chris Robshaw's pass and canter over. Smith added the extras to edge Harlequins slightly further back into the contest trailing 24-10 with 20 minutes to go.
Wasps reasserted their dominance and it all started from a driving maul that was halted just inches short. The hosts recycled the ball out to the left and Daly's long skip pass was clinically finished off by Bassett who stepped back on his inside to evade a couple of defenders and get over.
Harlequins were punished for trying to get back in to the game with some expansive play as Ben Glynn's pass was intercepted by Wade who ran coast to coast to grab his brace as Wasps ran out comfortable 41-10 winners.
