Uruguay are on the cusp of a first World Rugby Nations Cup title after they beat Russia in Round 2 of the competition on Wednesday.
Los Teros won 32-29 and are now on nine points, which is two ahead of the Argentina XV and Russia, with Namibia a further point behind.
In the other matches Namibia beat Emerging Italy 38-22 while the Argentina XV were too good for Spain, winning 37-5 after a late surge.
Uruguay can wrap up the title with a victory over Spain in Sunday's final round, with their rivals hoping the Spanish can do them a favour.
