Toulon to suspend O’Connor

Toulon utility-back James O'Connor will face suspension and not have his contract renewed after being caught trying to buy cocaine.

The former Wallaby was caught trying to buy three vials of the drug with former All Black lock Ali Williams and after being caught by the police have been charged according to Reuters.

Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal has had his say on the matter indicating that O'Connor will very likely face suspension and that this incident might mean the end of the Australian's days at Toulon.

"He won't escape a suspension," Boudjellal told Le Figaro.

"He's a kid with troubles, he’s 26. I’m not going to kill him either.

"Whatever decision I take, I will take everything into account, and I'll try not to damage the kid."

Boudjellal stated that they probably won't extend O'Connor's contract.

"We're not at a stage where we would extend it. We'll try to manage this season. But I do not want to overburden him."
