New Zealand and Crusaders prop Tim Perry has left on the final day of the All Blacks training camp in Auckland after pulling up with a hamstring strain.
Perry was a surprise inclusion alongside club team-mates Owen Franks and Joe Moody in Steve Hansen’s 33-man squad to play France in a three-match Test series in June.
With the Crusaders already having Franks and Moody ruled out of Friday’s crucial Super Rugby clash with the Hurricanes, Perry’s injury has left them desperately thin in the front-row department ahead of a must-win derby encounter.
The 29-year-old will be examined over the coming days before an assessment is made, but he is almost certain to miss the weekend’s action.
