Ospreys chairman Roger Blyth has confirmed that head coach Steve Tandy will remain at the helm until at least 2020.
The four-year-deal Tandy signed in April 2013 is nearing its conclusion.
However, according to the BBC, it appears that Ospreys want their mentor to stay on for another three years at least.
Although no official announcement has been made, Blyth let the news slip when being interviewed by Ospreys TV.
"Steve Tandy will front things up until 2020," Blyth told Ospreys TV.
"He is learning all the time, he's made mistakes of course.
"But if you look how we have progressed over the last few years in our performance given the cash restraints, which are well documented, I think we are making a fair fist of it."
Tandy led the Swansea-based side to PRO12 glory in his first season in charge in 2012 but since then has no silverware to show for his efforts.
However, they have achieved European Champions Cup qualification every season except the 2016/2017 campaign.
Meanwhile, managing director Andrew Millward also confirmed the extension of Tandy's contract.
"I am more than happy with the total structures," said Millward.
"Steve is here until 2020 and he will head that up."
Tandy's coaching staff includes Gruff Rees (backs), Brad Davis (defence) and Allan Clarke (forwards), who has joined from Ulster to replace Chris Gibbes.
