Sale Sharks scrum-half Peter Stringer has signed a one-year extension deal with the Aviva Premiership side.
The record-holding Irish scrum-half, who earned 98 caps during his time at Munster, has been an inspired signing by Steve Diamond.
"Peter is a model professional who is incredibly fit and shows no signs of getting old," Diamond told the Sale Sharks website.
"He has brought our backline to life this season."
"He is a very well respected member of our squad and the younger lads have all benefitted from Peter being here."
On signing his new deal, Peter Stringer said: "I'm delighted to have agreed a new deal. I am loving my rugby at Sale Sharks. It's a great environment and we have some very talented players at the club. The weather is going to start improving soon too so the fast tracks will suit me fine."
