Sharks name touring squad


Sharks coach Robert du Preez has announced a 25-man squad for their trip to Singapore where they will face the Sunwolves on Saturday.

Coenie Oosthuizen has been a break this week in line with the Springbok rest protocol. Three other players were not considered for tour selection due to injuries sustained in the loss against the Kings in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

The injured players are:

Jeremy Ward, who will undergo surgery on a broken nose, and is expected to be out for approximately six weeks.

Pat Lambie, who is battling concussion symptoms. Due to his history, the Sharks medical team are being cautious and therefore he has not travelled with the team.

Rhyno Smith, who has a pectoral muscle tear. He is seeing a specialist this week to determine treatment plan.
