Toulon 49-0 Clermont
Toulon warmed up for their Champions Cup quarter-final against Munster with a resounding 49-0 win over Clermont at Stade Mayol on Sunday.
This was as one-sided as the scoreline suggests as Clermont were outplayed from the outset, falling to their twelfth loss of the Top 14 season.
The home side ran in seven tries in a clinical performance but with other rival teams around them also winning, they remain in fourth place.
They crossed through Eric Escande, Romain Taofifenua, Chris Ashton, Josua Tuisova and Malakai Fekitoa to go into the break leading 35-0.
And the procession continued after the turnaround as Fekitoa and Mamuka Gorgodze went over, with Anthony Belleau ending with 14 points.
While the game is ideal preparation for Toulon ahead of next week, Clermont will be concerned ahead of their home fixture with Racing 92.

Lyon 22-24 Racing 92
Racing 92 moved back up to second place in the Top 14 standings as they held on to edge out Lyon 24-22 at Stade de Gerland on Sunday.
Despite having two players in the sin-bin for the game's closing stages, the Paris giants kept their noses in front to pick up four vital points.
They climb above Toulouse and Toulon but are still five points behind leaders Montpellier as they now head into the Champions Cup break.
Racing were down 12-6 at half-time as four Lionel Beauxis penalties put Lyon ahead, with Pat Lambie and Maxime Machenaud responding.
But soon after the interval Machenaud made it 12-9 before Baptiste Chouzenoux reached out to move his troops ahead at 14-12 to the good.
Machenaud and Beauxis then traded a penalty apiece before a controversial try for Lambie came after a Racing 92 line-out that looked crooked. They got away with that one though and happily moved 24-15 in front before the hosts launched a late onslaught on the visitors' try-line.
Despite having both Remi Tales and Ben Tameifuna sent to the sin-bin while Beauxis crossed, Racing 92 clung on to pick up a valuable win.
