Predictions: Premiership and PRO14

The opening round of the Premiership and PRO14 are poised to kick-off and we have sat down to bring you predictions for the games.

Exeter will be determined to defend their trophy while it is the same for the Scarlets, but both will find it tough as rival sides have strengthened.

Saracens in particular look strong in the Premiership, with the PRO14's new format an unknown quantity which could turn out to favour teams.

Friday: The Premiership season kicks off with two games on Friday as Gloucester host Exeter Chiefs while Newcastle Falcons face Worcester.

PRO14

Friday: Three matches will take place on Friday with Munster, Cardiff Blues and Ulster at home against Treviso, Edinburgh and the Cheetahs.
