Flanker Lappies Labuschagne has left the Sunwolves with immediate effect due to a contractual commitment with the Kubota Spears.
Despite the Japanese outfit’s struggles in Super Rugby, Labuschagne has stood out for Jamie Joseph’s men in the competition this year.
The back-row’s departure will therefore be a blow to the franchise, but they have bolstered their squad with the additions of Rahboni Warren-Vosayaco, Nishikawa Masakatsu, Fetuani Lautaimi and Kaito Shigeno.
They next face the Reds in Tokyo on Saturday as they look to end their winless run in 2018.
