The Chiefs' victory over the Blues in Auckland in Round Three's Super Rugby action proved costly as they lost the services of several players to injury.
Utility back Shaun Stevenson injured his knee in the warm-up and will be assessed this week. All Blacks prop Nepo Laulala fractured his forearm. The injury requires surgery and he is expected to be sidelined for eight to 12 weeks.
All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick withdrew from Friday’s match after getting a poke in the eye at training. He has completely recovered and will be available for selection next week.
Meanwhile, front-row Atunaisa Moli had complications from a quad hematoma which required surgery and utility back Tim Nanai-Williams had surgery on Friday to stabilise his shoulder. Both players have been ruled out for the season.
