Bulls lock Lood de Jager could miss Saturday’s Super Rugby clash against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein due to concussion.
De Jager left the field late in the first half of the Bulls’ 37-24 defeat to the Stormers in Cape Town at the weekend and the Pretoria-based outfit’s head coach Nollis Marais said it is unlikely the Springbok will be in action against his former team this weekend.
“Lood’s in hospital now with a concussion,” he told Sport24.
“I don’t think he’s going to be available for next week.”
Despite losing to the Stormers, Marais praised his side’s fightback from a 24-0 half-time defict to score four tries after the interval.
“24-0 at half time can easily become 50 very quickly,” he added.
“I think guys did well and stuck at it… but not a good performance from us. We’ll take consolation that we can score four tries in a half.”
