Crusaders full-back Israel Dagg has declared himself fit and available for selection for the clash with the Chiefs in Suva on Friday.
Dagg hasn’t played for the Crusaders since he underwent surgery after damaging his knee in their round three match against the Reds in Brisbane on March 11.
The 28-year-old turned out for the University side on Saturday in a Christchurch metro division one match where he played 40 minutes.
And the All Black wants to be considered for selection for the crucial Super Rugby encounter with the Chiefs.
“I was pretty nervous today,” Dagg told Fairfax media.
“It was like going back to school again, but I was very excited when I got out there.
“I will be good to go for next week. I was happy with how it all went. There is still room for improvement, but I am confident I am on the right track.”
