Lions and Springbok wing Ruan Combrinck is healing after having had surgery performed on his injured shoulder earlier this month.
The 27-year-old suffered the blow to his shoulder while he was playing for his Japanese club Kintetsu Liners. He was then forced to return home to South Africa to undergo surgery.
Combrinck kept fans updated by taking to social media on Wednesday where he said his recovery process was going well.
Combrinck is hoping to make a return to the field in April, which would be during the Lions' 2018 Super Rugby campaign.
Combrinck is a seven-time capped Springbok. However, he has been overlooked this year by Springbok coach Allister Coetzee.
Coetzee has said that the reason he has not given Combrinck a call-up is that he believes he has not played enough rugby. This also relates to the fact that Combrinck was also injured for lengthy periods of this year's Super Rugby competition due to another injury.
