Jess Breach was amongst the tries again for England’s Women’s side as they beat Canada 69-19 to seal a 3-0 series whitewash at Twickenham.
Breach crossed for five scores while Abbie Dow’s hat-trick saw the Red Roses cruise home. Marlie Packer and Ellie Kildunne also went over.
England led 38-7 at the interval and in the second half continued to dominate with a penalty try also awarded after a powerful driving maul.
Olivia De Merchant, Pamphinette Buisa and a penalty try got Canada on the board, with England head coach Simon Middleton a happy boss.
“It was really pleasing as I was quite nervous coming into the game actually as we knew Canada would come on strong,” he told England Rugby.
“We want to be a more confrontational side, we want to be more aggressive in terms of our defence and those are the lessons you learn in defeat like we did in the World Cup.
“To win the series 3-0 that is exactly what we want to do but there were some real key things we wanted to get out of it and defence was one of them so I’m hugely pleased with it.”
