Bath jumped up to third place in the Premiership standings after they came from behind to beat Northampton 32-9 at the Recreation Ground.
Trailing 6-0 after 18 minutes, courtesy of two Piers Francis penalties, the hosts worked their way in front via three Freddie Burns efforts.
And just before the break they had the vital first crossing when a mishap in midfield from Northampton's backs led to Bath centre Ben Tapuai collecting and then finding Matt Banahan, who turned Northampton's Ben Foden inside out before diving over on the wing for 16-6.
Burns followed up his conversion with the first points of the second 40, a penalty on 51 minutes. But Francis responded to make it 19-9.
The Bath fly-half struck again on 58 minutes and then set up prop Nick Auterac for a score after sustained pressure, which made it 27-9.
Northampton were now out of reach and the gloss was added by Bath with four minutes to play as replacement Ross Batty went over.
