Wales lock Jake Ball is a doubt for their Tests against Tonga and Samoa after he suffered a shoulder injury whilst playing for Scarlets.
Ball will miss Friday's PRO12 semi-final against Leinster in Dublin because of the problem, with his availability for June also in doubt.
"It's just a fight against time. We'll know more in a week or two," Scarlets head coach Wayne Pivac told BBC Sport in an update on Ball.
"But he's doing everything he can to play some more rugby this season.
"Hopefully should we make the final then he'll be reassessed."
A further concern for Scarlets ahead of their trip to the RDS is that openside flanker James Davies also has a shoulder injury. The region will decide on Wednesday whether he will feature against Leinster.
