Ospreys number eight Dan Baker will miss the rest of the season as he will undergo 'reconstructive surgery' for knee ligament damage.
Baker sustained the injury in Ospreys' 26-21 Champions Cup defeat against Clermont. The 25-year-old has been capped three times by Wales.
"Dan sustained knee ligament damage in the Clermont Auvergne match that will require reconstructive surgery and we don’t expect to see him playing again this season", read an official statement on Ospreys' website.
Meanwhile, fellow Ospreys flankers Justin Tipuric and Dan Lydiate are major doubts for Wales' November internationals after sustaining injuries in the warm-up and withdrawing from the matchday 23 moments prior to kick-off against Saracens at the weekend, a match the Welsh region lost 36-34.
Ospreys confirmed on their website that Tipuric will miss the PRO14 derby against the Dragons this weekend but nothing was mentioned of Lydiate.
It is another blow for Wales coach Warren Gatland who earlier this week lost George North to injury.
With North and Sam Warburton ruled out, the New Zealander will be hoping for positive news from the Ospreys on Rhys Webb, Tipuric and Lydiate.
Webb missed the Ospreys' narrow defeat at Allianz Park because of a knee injury picked up the previous week against Clermont.
