And AS report the Bernabeu boss is the driving force behind the pursuit.

Zidane actually tried to sign Mbappe in 2013 when boss of Real Madrid’s B team — two years securing the transfer of another young French talent in Raphael Varane, from Lens.
Speaking to Telefoot in December, the Monaco hotshot explained: “I experienced that like a child who sees the greatest French player in history talk to him.
“He was touching, honest with me. It was a great moment.

“It wouldn’t have worked. I chose to come to Monaco and I made the right choice.”
