XHERDAN SHAQIRI has launched an astonishing attack on his own side, claiming even Ronaldinho couldn’t save Stoke.
The Potters are second-bottom and face a massive battle to avoid relegation to the Championship.
And Shaqiri claims playing alongside such a lack of quality is a “sobering” experience and insists it limits his influence on the team.
He told Swiss media outlet Schweizer Illustrierte: “The feeling that even a Ronaldinho could do little in this team is sobering.
“I had to realise that it’s a bit different when you have players like [Franck] Ribery and Thiago at Bayern or [Mauro] Icardi and [Mateo] Kovacic at Inter.
“Here at Stoke I cannot exert too much influence, simply because there is a lack of quality around me.”

Regardless of whether Stoke are relegated, Shaqiri insists he does not expect to be there next season.
He added: “I cannot just down tools but it would take something extreme in the transfer market for Stoke to revive my enthusiasm this summer.”
