WWE ‘set to unveil new NXT belts’ just weeks after Paige’s leaked sex tape which appeared to feature an explicit act being ‘performed’ over previous title

WWE are reportedly set to announce new NXT title belts just weeks after X-rated pictures emerged appearing to show a sex act being performed over a previous belt.

This is not the first time the NXT belts have been redesigned, after the newly designed WWE logo was added to the design in 2014.

It is unclear whether or not the new design has something to do with the leaked sex tape.

The men’s belt is currently held by Bobby Roode, while The Authors of Pain have their hands on the tag team title.

Asuka currently occupies the women’s championship.

The NXT women’s title was at the centre of controversy a few weeks ago when fans fumed after a previous belt appeared to be involved in a sex act, when a leaked video emerged.

The footage appeared to show WWE star Paige, whose current partner is wrestler Alberto Del Rio, with the previous women’s title beside her face after a sex act had been carried out.

Paige, real name Saraya-Jade Bevis, was the inaugural champion of the NXT women's title.

Paige confirmed she is the victim of hacking, revealing she contemplated self harm in the wake of her public humiliation.

She wrote: "I made a big mistake. Huge. I put trust in the hands of someone that took advantage of a young girl years ago.

"It was my mistake and I’ll always take responsibility.

"I had days where I wanted to physically harm myself."

The 24-year-old added: "But I’m blessed beyond words to have a family and a husband that stuck by me because they know who I am."
