HULK HOGAN is still desperate for a WWE comeback – and he has the backing of fellow wrestling legend Ric Flair.
The Hulkster is one of wrestling’s biggest-ever stars, and enjoyed several runs as world champion for the then WWF and WCW in the 80s and 90s.

Speculation has been rife that the iconic grappler, now 64, is set to return to WWE just three years after he was axed by the company.
Any potential homecoming would certainly raise a few eyebrows following his axing from the promotion after audio emerged of him making racist remarks, leading to him being removed from WWE‘s Hall of Fame.

The Real American apologised for his comments, but wrestling officials removed all references to his legacy from their programmes and website.
But now Hogan has revealed his determination to right those wrongs with Vince McMahon’s WWE in an interview with TMZ Sports.

He said: “For me, I’d love to change that last story that was told with the Hulk Hogan career.
“I’d love to get back in the fold, get back on the inside and correct a lot of stuff.
“It has to be the perfect timing for both sides. We’re all on good terms. We’re all working towards the same goal.
“So hopefully, I’ll be able to be back with my wrestling family some day soon.”

And the Nature Boy Flair, who has recently returned to WWE television after battling serious illness last year, has backed his former in-ring foe.
Flair was adamant that Hogan was one of the most caring people he had ever met and revealed that Hulk flew to Georgia to be by his bedside while he was hospitalised.
He also spoke of how Hogan lent him money several years ago at a time when he needed it most and that he was one of a number of legendary names who were “looking forward” to seeing his close friend back in WWE.

Hulkster last appeared on WWE TV at WrestleMania 31 in March 2015.
Speaking to the Associated Press last month, he stated he could “go out and tear WrestleMania down” if given another opportunity.
But WWE responded by saying in a statement: “It remains committed to its decision.”
