GARY LINEKER was quick off the draw with a cheeky jibe at Diego Maradona as the Argentina legend picked out the balls for next summer’s World Cup.
England legend Lineker sent Twitter tittering by joking the Argentina all-time great “has always been good with his hands”.

Maradona hailed his controversial first goal in the 2-0 World Cup quarter-final defeat against Lineker and Co in 1986 as from the “the hand of God”.
But replays clearly showed Maradona palming the ball into the net as he leapt with Three Lions keeper Peter Shilton.
And for all the solo brilliance of Maradona’s second goal in Mexico City that day, England have never forgotten the injustice of his opener.
Presenter Lineker, for one, was not going to miss the chance to remind Maradona of that today.

But the Three lions must have been smiling when they were drawn against Belgium, Tunisia and Panama.
If England win that group and keep progressing, they could face Colombia, Brazil and France – then Germany in the final.

And if they go through as runners-up, Poland, Germany, Spain and Brazil could await Garth Southgate’s men – in that order.
That prompted one fan to tweet of Maradona: “Instead of knocking us out with his hand, he’s actually handed us a half decent group!”
However, another Twitter user said he could not believe “The Hand of God is pulling England’s ball out of the pot.”
