Wolves boss Paul Lambert has finally landed Ben Marshall from old club Blackburn Rovers for £1.2million.
Indian owners Venkys wanted £2m but lowered their demands after long-distance calls went in to finalise the move, which was eventually completed at 10.30pm last night.

Lambert wants Marshall as a right back and the player fancied the switch to play for his former manager again, with personal terms not a problem.
Blackburn boss Owen Coyle needed Marshall to go and to fund any more deals. He is still desperate for a right back and centre half.
Marshall said: “The move ticked all the boxes and it is something that feels right.
“It looks like Wolves are going to be a strong moving forwards.
“It has been a long transfer window for me and I think Wolves have been interested in me for a while.
“As soon as I knew they were keen then I wanted to come and thankfully the deal has now been done.
“There were times when I didn’t think it was going to happen but now it has all gone through and I can’t wait to get cracking.”

Wolves also completed a permanent deal for influential winger Helder Costa on Monday.
The star has been a sensation since joining on loan from Benfica last summer.
