THE Gangneung Olympic Park in South Korea will have a tasty new addition added to it… and we have a feeling the locals will be loving it.
The venue in Pyeongchang will play host to the 2018 Winter Olympics.

And if locals were not excited enough to be hosting the iconic games, then the latest announcement from McDonald’s will certainly whet the appetite.
The fast food giants have announced plans to build a restaurant in the shape of a hamburger, French fries and beverages next to the Olympic Park.
It’s claimed that the McDonald’s eatery will be built in the shape of one of their popular value meals.
The construction work has already begun on the 479 square metres store ahead of its opening for the Games.

And it guarantees a mouth-watering experience for all those that attend the ice events at the Gangneung Olympic Park.
The burger giants will have two McDonald’s located within the area, with the other being situated inside the Athletes’ Village.

It may come as a surprise to some to see the iconic golden arches linked with such a prestigious sporting event, but they have been a sponsor of every Olympics since the Winter Games back in 1976 at Innsbruck.
In preparation for the arrival of tourists from around the planet, McDonald’s are hiring 260 employees to run the two purposely-built stores.
