VENUS WILLIAMS continued to roll back the years as she made her first Grand Slam semi-final for six years.
The American legend, 36, ko’d Kazakhstani Yaroslava Shvedova 7-6, 6-2 to become the oldest major semi-finalist since Martina Navratilova finished runner-up at Wimbledon in 1994.

It was yet another awesome display of power-hitting from the oldest
player left in the women’s draw, whose last appearance in a Slam semi came at the 2010 US Open.
Even going a break down at 3-2 in the first set saw her unflustered as the five-time Wimbledon champ broke straight back.
