DEMETRIOUS ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson is known by many as the greatest champion in Mixed Martial Arts.
The current UFC Flyweight Champ has held the belt for four years and two months, making him the current longest reigning champion in the sport.

With Johnson surviving a first round scare before dominating against Tim Elliot in Las Vegas last Saturday, here’s the key to Mighty Mouse’s success and what you can expect this weekend.
The one and only
Since it’s inception in September 2012, the Flyweight Division has seen only one champion, Demetrious Johnson.
The 30-year-old has seen off all challengers to his crown having remained undefeated since taking the title in a fight against Joseph Benevidez.
Johnson has never lost a fight at 125lbs, with notable wins against Kyoji Horiguchi, John Dodson and Chris Cariaso to name a few.
Johnson is currently number one on the UFC’s pound-for-pound rankings, making him the most dangerous fighter on the planet.

An impeccable skill set
Johnson’s most recent opponent, Henry Cejudo, labelled Mighty Mouse "A miniature George St Pierre."
He added: "What makes him one of the best of all time is his footwork, his distance, his strategy."
Johnson’s speed around the Octagon and the angles he's able to find against his opponents have made him one of the most formidable fighters in UFC.
All of these attributes have contributed to Johnson’s eight successive title defences, a record which ties him third with light-heavyweight Jon Jones for most successive title defences in UFC history.

The Cardio King
Whilst it was evident in his most recent bout against Cejudo that Johnson possesses the power to finish his opponents, his knockout power is far from the most impressive aspect of his game.
Mighty Mouse’s greatest asset is his ability to control the pace of a fight and his exceptional cardio.
UFC commentator Joe Rogan said Johnson "has the best cardio of any fighter in any weight class."

If a fight goes the distance, Mighty Mouse has a huge advantage in the final few rounds.
His unnatural endurance and skill in controlling the Octagon have contributed to Johnson’s 25-2-1 record in MMA.
