Why has Demetri Mitchell been called up to the squad?
A number of injuries, most notably Luke Shaw, Ashley Young and Marcos Rojo who was dogged by a serious injury, means Mitchell has been thrown in with the senior side.
He has impressed for the Under-23’s this season and has been shortlisted for the Reserve Team Player of the Year award.
Jose Mourinho has also suggested he will be making a number of changes against Arsenal due to their involvement in the Europa League against Celta Vigo.

What is Demetri Mitchell’s position?
Originally a striker, he is now usually deployed as a winger or even a left full-back where he has played this season, and could replace Luke Shaw in the side.
Mitchell previously told MUTV: “We had a friendly against Barnsley and I played at left-back. It was new to me and I didn’t grasp it too well but I played wing-back against Chelsea and that helped me adjust to the position.
“I also played against Sparta Prague (in the Premier League International Cup) and just went on from there. To be fair, I think I’ve adjusted quite well.”
