SERGIO GARCIA will tee off at the Open at Royal Birkdale on Thursday before he ties the knot with fiancee Angela Akins a week later.
The Spanish star and his American bride to be started their relationship in 2015 and announced their engagement in January this year.
The pair are set to wed in Texas on July 29.
It’s going to be a big fortnight for the golfer who will try and win his first Claret jug after winning the Masters in April.
Love seems to suit the The 37-year-old who was known to be the most talented golfer to never win a Major.
But since meeting Akins, Garcia broke finally his Majors duck at Augusta and proudly donned the famous Green Jacket.
He has finished runner-up twice in the Open, and has also chalked up eight other top ten finishes.
But he has already won the heart of the stunning Texan.
Who is Angela Akins and how old she?
The 31-year-old was born in Texas, and is the daughter of former Texas Longhorns quarterback Marty Akins and cousin of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees.
She has worked as a golf reporter for Fox Sports Southwest and moved to Florida after landing a job on the Golf Channel.
Garcia will not be her first husband as she was previously married to former golfer Ross Hamann.
She’s a keen golfer herself, having played for the women’s team at the University of Texas. She plays off a handicap of three.
