West Ham midfielder Robert Snodgrass arrives to Aston Villa for medical ahead of season-long loan move
ASTON VILLA are edging closer to signing in-demand West Ham midfielder Robert Snodgrass.
The 29-year-old has arrived for his medical in Birmingham ahead of a season-long loan move away from the Hammers.

He has only been at West Ham since January, but already he has fallen out of favour with Slaven Bilic.
Snodgrass has only made 15 appearances for the Hammers and is yet to score, tallying just two assists in the process.
The Scotland international is expected to join the Championship side on a season-long loan deal.
West Ham paid £10m for the Scotland international at the start of the year, but he has failed to find his feet in the East End.
He played under the management of Villa chief Steve Bruce at Hull City, helping the Tigers earn promotion to the top-flight in 2015.

Sunderland and Birmingham City have both voiced their interest, but it appears that Villa are in pole position to secure the Scot’s signature this summer.
At a press conference earlier in the week, Bruce said: “I had the pleasure to work with him, very briefly, at Hull.
“He will add that bit of sparkle, if you like, up front.

“He’s got all the stuff you talk about, experience, quality, in abundance.
“He’s been there, done it and got the T-shirt. It hasn’t quite worked out for him at West Ham.”
