West Ham consider complaining to Fifa over Marseille ‘tapping up’ Dimitri Payet in £30m pursuit

WEST HAM are considering a complaint to FIFA as they accuse Marseille of ‘tapping up’ wantaway midfielder Dimitri Payet.

The outcast has been shunned by his Hammers team-mates after demanding that he leave the club this summer.

Payet is also training with the Under-23s following a furious training ground row with Slaven Bilic as he looks to force a way back to former club Marseille.

And West Ham believe his fiery refusal to pull on a claret and blue shirt again until he gets his move is because the Ligue 1 side have privately spoken to Payet.

The Frenchman’s family have already packed their bags and have left London for Marseille in anticipation that he will get his January move.

Marseille have already seen two bids rejected for Payet as the Hammers hold out for £30million.

But the club aren't willing to increase their offer of £21.7m and have reportedly abandoned their chase for Payet leaving him in limbo over his future.

Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol said: “Marseille do not think it will be possible to sign him [Payet] during this window. They will be moving onto other targets.

“Marseille have almost given up on signing Payet this month."
