“We fully support Slaven and expect him to turn things around.
“But it’s at moments like this we have to understand football, totally, is a results business.”
That boardroom message in her SunSport column comes as planned talks over new deals with key players have been frozen.
Negotiations with Michail Antonio and Diafra Sakho are on hold, while club chiefs are taking the threat of the drop seriously enough to reassess budgets.

An insider said: “There is no point talking about new contracts at the moment.
“The club will not do anything until safety for next season is guaranteed.”
West Ham are just five points above 18th-placed Swansea ahead of their clash at the London Stadium — and are on a dismal run of FIVE successive league defeats.
Croatian Bilic, 48, took full responsibility for the club’s dreadful form.
The ex-West Ham and Everton defender was signed on a three-year deal in the summer of 2015.

Bilic said: “I have never run from my responsibilities. Blame is one thing — but responsibility is something else.
“I would like ideally to take all the responsibility, so that the players feel free to express themselves in the best possible way. That is why I am here at the end of the day and I have to do it.
“In terms of challenges in my managerial career, it is up there but it’s not all negative.
“There are clubs, Swansea included, in worse positions than us — but I don’t care about that. We have to do it now.”

Bilic has warned his flops they will only turn the corner when they learn how to DEFEND one.
The Hammers have conceded 13 goals in those five defeats and former centre-back Bilic is understandably furious.
He said: “Set-pieces cost us goals against Chelsea, against Bournemouth, goals against Watford and goals against Hull — very important goals.”
This is not the first time Bilic has been embroiled in a relegation scrap with West Ham.
He was in the Hammers team which beat the Premier League drop by two points in 1997.
He said: “We had characters like Julian Dicks, Ian Bishop, John Moncur, Stevie Potts and Ludo Miklosko.
“We stuck together and if my players stick together, we have the quality to get through this.”
