West Bromwich Albion to make double January swoop for Fabian Delph and Benik Afobe

WEST BROM are weighing up a double swoop for Fabian Delph and Benik Afobe in January.

The Baggies have cash to spend following Guochuan Lai’s takeover earlier in the year.

And Tony Pulis is determined to add to his thin squad as soon as possible.

Manchester City‘s Delph and Bournemouth‘s Afobe are believed to be the experienced manager’s top choices, according to the Daily Mirror.

A new centre midfielder and forward are the positions Pulis has prioritised.

Everton’s James McCarthy is also being considered by West Brom.

The Republic of Ireland star is set to leave the Toffees as part of Ronald Koeman’s rebuilding process at Goodison Park.

The Dutchman is looking to ship out some of his lesser-used squad men to raise funds for an overhaul of his squad.

McCarthy is also wanted by Crystal Palace and Tottenham as well as Championship side Aston Villa.
