Watford striker Obbi Oulare escapes driving ban after court hears his mum was speeding in his Mercedes
Watford’s £6million striker Obbi Oulare has dodged a driving ban – after a court heard his MUM took his car for a joyride.
The Belgium Under-21 international joined the Hornets from Club Brugge two summers ago. He is currently on loan to Dutch club Willem II.

Speed cameras caught Oulare’s club Mercedes doing 57mph in a 30mph area of Bruges in December 2014. The player was handed a £400 fine and 15-day ban.

But Oulare appealed – and a Bruges court let him off after hearing the striker was with his club on Europa League duty at the time of the offence.
His lawyer also said the 21-year-old favoured driving his own Porsche to the Mercs supplied to Brugge’s squad.
Oulare’s lawyer Florence Hofmans told the hearing: “My client always preferred to drive around in his highly-tuned Porsche rather than use the ordinary Mercedes provided by his club.
“It is often the case that footballers’ own cars are better, and they let their family members use their club car.
