THIS is the hilarious moment a clueless Venezuelan skier attempts to qualify for the World Championships… despite having never actually trained on snow.
Venezuelan Adriano Solano was taking part in the cross country qualifying event in Finland. The only problem? He can barely ski.

Rather than bursting out of the blocks and storming around the circuit, like his ‘competitors’, Solano immediately stumbled.
Keep up to date with ALL the latest sport news, gossip and rumours.
A series of hysterical crashes and generally just acting like Bambi on ice… Solano eventually crawls off to the side of the circuit.
It turned that Solano had only ever trained on land with wheels, never on snow.

Regardless, following the painful-to-watch outing, Solano said: “Although I did not know the snow and I did not have the opportunity to train here I am giving the best.
“Maybe I have fallen many times but what really counts is that I will always continue to rise.”
Solano went on to tell the incredible tale of how he arrived in France, with dreams of heading to Sweden for a month of training ahead of the event… only to be accused of trying to immigrate.

The hold up at the hands of Paris police meant he missed his training and went into the event in Lahti blind.
Solano said: “When I got to Paris on 19 January, I explained that I was on my way to Sweden to train. They did not believe that I ski in Venezuela.
“I told them that we train on wheels. I only had 28 euros with me and the police accused me of trying to immigrate because things were going badly in my country.

“I missed a month of practice on the snow. But I am still trying because this is my dream.
“I want to achieve a lot more. From now on, I’m learning towards the Olympic Games.”
Sadly, Solano did not qualify for the main event in Lahti, Finland, but I’m sure we’re all rooting for his inclusion in the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.
