Wales vs Portugal: Aaron Ramsey ‘gutted’ to miss biggest night of his career after painful yellow card
AARON RAMSEY admits he is “gutted” to be missing out on what could have been the biggest night of his career.
But the suspended Wales midfielder is confident his team-mates can topple Portugal to book a place in the final.
Aaron Ramsey reacts after being given the yellow card for handball
Arsenal ace Rambo was devastated when he received a yellow card for handball in Friday’s thrilling 3-1 win over Belgium.
It was his second booking of the tournament — meaning he must sit out the last-four clash in Lyon, along with defender Ben Davies.
Aaron Ramsey will now miss Wales’ semi-final against Portugal
Ramsey, 25, said: “I am sure it will sink in. I am really gutted. It was just a sort of natural reaction and that happens. I knew straight away.
“But I will be right behind my team and cheering them on. I’ll be kicking every ball and shouting, right in the mix of it.
“Hopefully, they can do it. I am confident we can get one more game.

Gareth Bale and Hal Robson-Kanu have scored five goals between them
He has been in great form and set up both of Wales’ first two goals in the victory over Marc Wilmots’ side.
Asked if it was his best game, he said: “Maybe. I think so. Especially at the stage we are at, a quarter-final in a major tournament.
“You have to stand up and be counted. I’m just delighted I was able to help my team by grabbing a couple of assists and that we won it quite comfortably in the end.
“We have a great team, great staff and great fans. When you have the right balance, special nights like this can happen.”
